Mbappe confirms France’s determination to retain World Cup title

KYLIAN Mbappe has said defending World Cup champions France are determined to defend their title at next year’s event.

Mbappe said this after the Paris Saint-Germain forward scored four goals in the Blues’ 8-0 win over Kazakhstan to secure a 2022 World Cup ticket in Qatar.

Mbappe scored a hat-trick in the first half of the World Cup qualifiers on Sunday, making him the only French player to do so in an official game since Dominique Rocheteau in 1985.
