DKI Jakarta GOVERNOR Anies Baswedan called on all parts of Indonesia to anticipate the floods. This is because the floods do not see the administrative areas on the basis of identity cards.
“When a flood occurs, the disaster does not see the administrative area of the ID card. So the flood occurs in all areas, so I hope our preparation is mandatory. This is our message to Jakarta that we are ready, ”said Anies during her participation in the preparation event at the Jakarta PMI. La Nina at Pluit Reservoir Park, north Jakarta, Sunday (11/14).

Anies added that Jakarta is prepared to face the floods with three principles, namely alert, responsiveness and mobilization.
In fact, he said, his party has set a target for dealing with the flooding of no casualties and the flood recedes six hours after the rain.
“So that’s the goal. So we’re working with a safety measure, two speeds to be able to dry an area,” Anies said.
Even the DKI Jakarta provincial government allocates a budget of IDR 2,000 billion to IDR 3,000 billion annually to prepare the Jakarta flood management budget.
Anies said her party has also implemented all flood control programs, whether it is tidal flooding, local flooding with heavy rainfall or flooding expeditions from the mountainous region of Puncak, Bogor. Jakarta’s flood control programs include the construction of coastal safety dikes on the coast, vertical drainage, water pumps, polders, dredging and mud raids in rivers, streams and reservoirs.
“I want to convey to everyone that the hope of being on alert is not only in the Jakarta area but in all. Because this la nina does not belong to an ID card address. It is a global phenomenon that has an impact on us too, ”said Anies. (OL-6)
