TURKEY razed the weak Gibraltar squad to rekindle the 2022 World Cup qualifying hopes, at least the chance to advance to the European Zone World Cup qualifiers.
Striker Halil Dervisoglu scored twice as Turkey beat Gibraltar, who was 10 men away, 6-0. Galatasaray player Kerem Akturkoglu and Atalanta defender Merih Demiral also scored for the hosts, as did Fenerbahce forward Serdar Dursun and Sassuolo defender Mert Muldur.
Turkey are now second in Group G with 18 points, one point behind the Netherlands who face Montenegro on Sunday (14/11) early in the morning of the WIB to try to secure an automatic ticket for the World Cup in Qatar.

Gibraltar was only 10 men since the 23rd minute, when defender Jayce Olivero was sent off for fouling Turkish defender Zeki Celik.
Gibraltar are still chasing their first point in a World Cup qualifying event after losing all of their nine World Cup qualifying matches.
Meanwhile, in Norway, the hosts made it difficult after being held to 0-0 by their Latvian visitors.
This single point leaves Norway in third place in Group G with 18 points, losing only on goal difference to Turkey in second place. Meanwhile, the Netherlands lead with 19 points, but are close to securing a ticket to Qatar if they beat Montenegro, which to this day is still contested.
Norway will then travel to the Netherlands in their final game on Tuesday (16 / “), while Turkey will travel to Montenegro.
Norway dominated at home against the crowded Ullevaal Stadium, but a poor finish and superb performance from visiting goalkeeper Roberts Ozols kept them out of the Latvian net. (Ant / OL-1)
