Police are still investigating the cause of death of a Nigerian citizen named Kingsli Chuwubeka, 31, at the office of Immigration Detention Center (Rudenim), Kalideres, West Jakarta. The results of the autopsy to determine the cause of death are still pending.
The head of the Criminal Investigation Unit for the West Jakarta Metro, Police Commissioner Joko Dwi Harsono, said that from the results of the autopsy, it will be known if there is any evidence of violence that caused the death of the victim. He said the alleged violence emerged after a video of an unrest at the scene was released before the victim’s death.
“It has been brought to the RSCM, we will wait if there is any sign of beatings or violence, then we will examine it,” Joko said in Jakarta on Saturday (11/13). Previously, a Nigerian citizen named Kingsli Chuwubeka was found dead at the office of the Immigration Detention Center (Rudenim), Kalideres, in West Jakarta on Tuesday afternoon September 11.
Kalideres Chief Police Commissioner Hasoloan Situmorang said his party had received a report regarding occupier Rudenim who had passed out. However, when he was taken to Mitra Keluarga Hospital in West Jakarta, the victim’s life could not be saved.

“Initially, we received information that the occupants were suspected of fainting and they evacuated them to Mitra hospital. After that, medical treatment was carried out and they were pronounced dead,” said Hasoloan when contacted, Wednesday 11/10. (OL-14)
