At the opening of the Mazda booth at GIIAS, EMI Managing Director Ricky Thio said that the Mazda SUV product is currently the most popular model for Mazda customers and lovers in Indonesia.
“The Mazda CX-3 and the Mazda CX-5 are the models with the highest volume of sales today. On this special occasion we present a range of flagship SUVs which have a different twist, namely the Kuro edition, with an expressive dark color touch which makes the Kuro edition more visible and different from other models ”, said Ricky .
In 2022, he continued, Mazda will focus on the line of SUVs issued by Mazda Corporation. “This is in line with Mazda Corporation’s business plan which will expand Mazda’s crossover SUV lineup from 2022 and 2023,” he explained.
According to EMI product planner Kenny Wala, Kuro in Japanese means “black.” It is the expression of a design that gives off a more sporty aura.
For the CX-5 Kuro model, the use of black accents on the 19-inch rims, roof rails and exterior mirrors is paired with black leather seats inside. As for the CX-9 Kuro, the black accents are combined with the red interior.
The Kuro edition is only available in two colors, namely Snowfleak White Pearl and Polymetal Gray. “The target market is Mazda customers who want to appear more distinctive, more expressive,” said Kenny.
The Mazda CX-5 Kuro Edition is priced at IDR 562,200,000, while the CX-9 Kuro is priced at IDR 872,200,000. This Kuro Edition product was sold at 24 Mazda dealerships across Indonesia. (Si / S-4)
