Ligue 1 CLUB Saint-Etienne announced on Monday that they are suing Cambodian prince Norodom Ravichak after discovering false bank documents during an attempt to buy the club.
Lawyers for the lower Ligue 1 club have said the € 100million bank guarantee given by Ravihak turned out to be false.
Saint Etienne shareholders have started looking for a new owner since April and the law firm leading the effort has asked parties interested in the takeover of the Ligue 1 club to submit bids by Monday (8 / 11).

“The offer showed the lack of credibility of a number of candidates and Ravichak falls into this category,” said Saint Etienne.
The Ligue 1 club added that they would now prosecute the grandson of former Cambodian king Norodom Sihanouk for fraud.
Saint Etienne, led by former Leicester and Southampton coach Claude Puel, are currently slumped in the relegation zone having won just one win in 13 games. (AFP / OL-1)
