The mayor of Bekasi city, Rahmat Effendi, questioned the central government, namely the Indonesian Ministry of Health and the Java-Bali PPKM coordinator regarding the stipulation of the city of Bekasi at PPKM 2 level.

Even if the realization of the Covid-19 vaccination has reached the target with nearly 90% and even reaching 92% in several sub-districts and villages.

“Our vaccinations are almost 90% in fact. As of October 31, 2021 yesterday, there were several sub-districts and urban villages, like Medan Satria, which reached 92%. This means that the goal of achievement has been met “, said the mayor of Bekasi. Rahmat Effendi, who is colloquially called Pepen, on Saturday (6/11).

He explained that with the relatively high vaccination rate, his party was surprised and questioned the lack of territory in the Covid-19 vaccination so that it was still level 2 PPKM.

“We present this data, we explain where the gaps are compared to what we currently have, between the existing one that we manage in the city of Bekasi and the determination of the extension that the city of Bekasi is still at level 2” , did he declare.

Pepen revealed that the evaluation study of data held by the Bekasi city government had been submitted to the Indonesian Ministry of Health and the Java-Bali PPKM coordinator as an evaluator. However, so far the Bekasi city government has yet to receive a response to the study provided.
