ASTON Villa suffered a fifth consecutive defeat after Adam Armstrong’s quick goal led Southampton to a 1-0 English Premier League victory on Saturday (6/11) early in the morning.
Armstrong has not scored in nine games since scoring in his debut in the season opener since signing for £ 15million from Blackburn Rovers.
However, he ended his scoring drought by breaking into Aston Villa’s goal after just three minutes.

After no additional goals in the first half, Aston Villa advanced in the second half.
However, Dean Smith’s position as coach of the Villans was increasingly threatened after they failed to equalize.
The narrow victory was enough to bring Southampton to 12th place in the table.
