Paris Saint-Germain star Lionel Messi will miss the Ligue 1 away game against hosts Bordeaux on Saturday (6/11) due to injury. However, he could strengthen Argentina in this month’s World Cup qualifiers. This is what PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino revealed on Saturday (6/11).
The 34-year-old, who signed for Barcelona at the end of last season, is still recovering from knee pain and a hamstring injury.
Messi was also absent when PSG drew 2-2 against RB Leipzig in the Champions League game, in the middle of last week.

“Tomorrow he won’t be ready to play for the team. We’ll see if he can travel to play for his country. We hope he can play for his country and then get back to us in shape,” Pochettino told the journalists.
Argentina will play away against Uruguay on November 12 and host Brazil four days later. Argentina, who finished second, followed Brazil by six points.
Messi must have started his career at PSG with disappointment having only played eight games in all competitions.
PSG lead the Ligue 1 standings with 31 points in 12 matches or eight points above second-placed Nice. (Ant / OL-1)
