DKI chief DPRD backs KPK in investigating allegations of corruption in Formula E

THE CHAIRMAN of the DKI Jakarta Provincial DPRD, Prasetio Edi Marsudi, supports the decision of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to investigate allegations of corruption in the implementation of Formula E in Jakarta.

According to him, the KPK as an anti-corruption agency must have strong initial evidence, in order for residents’ reports to go through the investigative process.

In addition, his party will go through the investigative process, whether it goes through the investigative process or whatever it looks like later.

“In this case, I insist that even a penny of public money used by the provincial government DKI Jakarta must be taken into account,” Pras said in an official statement on Saturday (6/11).

Pras said the KPK’s decision was in line with the interests of the 33 DPRD members who offered the right to question.

If the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) deals with a violation of the law, it exercises in the DKI Jakarta DPRD the function of supervising the work of the local government.

“With the KPK’s investigation into the implementation of Formula E, this reinforces our intention within the DPRD to exercise the right of interpellation seriously for the public interest. Not for political interests,” did he declare.

Previously, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) started last Wednesday (3/11) to investigate allegations of corruption in the implementation of Formula E.

The first investigation was carried out by summoning the head of the Jakarta (Dispora) Youth and Sports Agency Ahmad Firdaus.

Hearing this, DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria said his party respects the ongoing judicial process.

“I also just heard about it. Of course we respect all legal processes in this republic. Whether it is from the KPK, the police, the prosecutors, the courts related to legal matters, we respect,” he said. man who is colloquially called Ariza, Thursday (4/11) night.

Ariza also pointed out that in the budgeting process, the DKI provincial government discussed it transparently with the DKI DPRD. For this reason, all discussions must have obtained the approval of the DPRD and not the unilateral wish of the DKI provincial government. (OL-1)
