BARCELONA, Saturday (6/11), confirmed the arrival of Xavi Hernandez as coach.
The former midfielder left Camp Nou to play for Al Sadd in 2015 after making 767 appearances for the Catalan club, winning eight La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues.
“It’s time to come home. Welcome, Xavi,” Barcelona grumbled, showing a video of Xavi leaving in 2015. “Yesterday was not goodbye, but see you soon.”

Barcelona, in an official statement, said they have reached a deal with Xavi who will manage the Blaugrana until the end of this season and the next two seasons.
“Xavi Hernandez is expected to arrive at Barcelona this weekend and Monday (8/11) will be introduced as Barcelona’s new coach at Cap Nou,” El Barca said.
Barcelona’s efforts to bring in Xavi stalled on Friday (5/11) due to the release clause issue in his contract with Al Sadd.
Al Sadd said Barcelona have agreed to pay the € 5million release clause. (AFP / OL-1)
