Leverkusen crushes Real Betis in Europa League

BAYER Leverkusen destroyed four Real Betis goals unanswered in the Europa League Group G game at BayArena on Friday (5/11) early in the morning WIB.

Moussa Diaby contributed two goals in this match, while the others were scored by Florian Wirtz and Nadiem Amiri.

The victory consolidated Leverkusen’s position at the top of Group G with 10 points, three points ahead of Real Betis in second place.

The first goal was created in the 42nd minute. Starting from Florian Writz’s pass to the right side of Betis’ penalty area, the ball was received by Moussa Diaby before releasing a kick that burst into the lower right corner of Rui Silva’s goal.

The next goal was scored again by Diaby in the 51st minute after the French striker’s left-footed shot from outside the penalty area could not be stopped by Silva.

Leverkusen scored the third goal in the 85th minute. Now it was Writz’s turn to put his name on the scoreboard, his right-footed shot from the penalty area successfully crashed into the upper left corner of the goal after receiving the ball deep de Diaby to bring the score to 3-0.

The home side completed their performance with a fourth goal in the 90th minute thanks to a close range shot from Nadiem Amiri after using Diaby’s pass to seal Bayern’s goal festivities.

Meanwhile, in the other Group G game, Celtic successfully overcame resistance from Hungarian club Ferencvaros with a 3-2 score at Groupama Arena, Hungary.

Kyogo Furuhashi, Jota and Leil Abada scored three Celtic goals each. Meanwhile, the hosts’ two goals were scored by Josip Juranovic and Myrto Uzuni.
