Empoli and Genoa share points in Serie A

EMPOLI and Genoa ended up scoring a point in a four-goal thriller at Stadio Carlo Castellani as Davide Ballardini’s men led 1-0 for an hour before being equalized by the visitors and ultimately having to settle for a point. in Saturday’s Serie A clash. (6/11) WIB early in the morning.

VAR investigated the incident and the referee decided to award a penalty to the visitors.

Never creating a goal, Andreazzoli then replaced three players at a time in the 59th minute. The move worked when Federico Di Francesco scored the equalizer in the 62nd minute.

The goal came from substitute Szymon Zurkowski, who found Di Francesco in a good position at the penalty spot, to beat goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu.

It was Di Francesco’s third Serie A goal this season. After the goal, Empoli became more and more eager to turn things around and Liam Henderson’s cross nearly rounded Sirigu at the far post.

Nine minutes after the equalizer, Zurkowski was brilliant again but this time it was his turn to put his name on the scoresheet.

In the 71st minute, the 24-year-old received the ball in the right place at the right time as the Genoa defense stumbled.

The Pole then beat Sirigu from 25 meters with a nice finish in the lower corner of the Genoa goal which turned the situation 2-1.
