Defeat of Inter Milan against the sheriff

INTER Milan beat FC Sheriff 3-1 on Matchday 4 of Champions League Group D at Sheriff Stadium on Thursday (4/11) early in the morning WIB.

Inter’s goals were scored by Marcelo Brozovic, Milan Skriniar and Alexis Sanchez, while the hosts’ only goal was scored by Adama Traore.

With this result, Inter moved to second place in Group D with 7 points, while FC Sheriff are in third place with six points.

The two teams attacked each other from the first minutes. Until at least the first 10 minutes, no dangerous opportunity was created, but Inter slowly took control of the game.

In the 18th minute, Inter had a chance thanks to Edin Dzeko’s header after using a corner kick, but the ball only hit the outside of FC Sheriff’s net.

In the 29th minute, Inter again had a good opportunity. Starting with the chaos in front of FC Sheriff’s goal which meant that the goalkeeper was not in an ideal position. Darmian who is free to kick the ball, but moves away from the opposing goal.

Inter created opportunities again with a long-range strike from Lautaro Martinez in the 40th minute, but the ball only hit the post.

The scoring of the glasses lasted until the referee ended the first half.

After the break, Inter did not slow down their attack as they tried to break the deadlock. Instead, the sheriff was forced to defend himself by relying on a swift counterattack.

Inter’s efforts finally bear fruit in the 54th minute. Receiving the pass from Vidal, Brozovic played with the ball before unleashing a shot that beat sheriff goalkeeper Giorgos Athanasiadis. The position changed 1-0.

The Nerazzurri doubled their lead in the 66th minute after a close range shot from Skriniar hit the net.

In the 82nd minute, Inter scored the third goal thanks to a precise shot from substitute Alexis Sanchez into the penalty area. The score fell to 3-0 again for Simone Inzagi’s team.

FC Sheriff scored a consolation goal in added time in the 92nd minute thanks to Adama TraorĂ©’s header, after which the score fell again to 3-1 which lasted until the end of the match. (Ant / OL-1)
