MANCHESTER City won convincingly 4-1 when they hosted Club Brugge in the Champions League Group A match at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday (4/11) early in the morning WIB.
City’s four goals were scored by Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez, Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus, while John Stones scored his own side for Club Brugge.

Manchester City immediately stepped on the gas from the start of the match. Attack after attack, they launched to threaten the guard Simon Mignolet with escort.
The stalemate was broken in the 15th minute when Joao Cancelo threw a beautiful pass that Phil Foden slapped into the mouth of the net. The position changed 1-0.
However, City’s lead only lasted two minutes after John Stones scored on his own side for failing to dodge the rebound from Charles de Ketelaere’s powerful shot just before Ederson’s goal. Club Brugger tied 1-1.
After the goal, the visitors looked looser and provided a few threats, otherwise City’s attacks could be broken.
In the second half, City continued to play with high intensity. Riyad Mahrez finally restored the lead after leading Cancelo’s cross in the 54th minute to make it 2-1 again.
Pep Guardiola then called on Raheem Sterling to replace Mahrez in the 69th minute and that came to fruition three minutes later when Sterling shot Gundogan’s cross into the middle of the box. City won 3-1.
After that goal, City got hotter and made Mignolet struggle to save their goal.
In the 92nd minute, City sealed the victory with Gabriel Jesus’ fourth goal after his right-footed shot found Mignolet after receiving Cancelo’s pass. The score of 4-1 lasted until the end of the game. (Ant / OL-1)
