Barcelona narrowly win at home against Dynamo Kiev

BARCELONA won three crucial points after a difficult 1-0 victory over Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League Group E game against NSK Olimpiyskiy on Wednesday (3/110 hours WIB).

The only goal of the match was scored by Ansu Fati in the second half.

The victory left Barcelona with a chance to advance to the open round of 16 after La Liga moved up to second in the table with six points, six points behind already qualified Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, Dynamo Kiev collapsed into a stretched position with the acquisition of 1 point.

Despite playing at home, Barca dominated from the start but were often troubled by Kiev’s quick counterattacks.

The game has been going on for 20 minutes, but there are still no significant chances from either side.

It wasn’t until the 24th minute that Kiev got a chance thanks to Carlos De Pena’s kick into the penalty area after receiving the ball from Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet’s sweep. However, De Pena’s shot was blocked by goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen.

In the 31st minute, it was Barcelona’s turn to have a chance thanks to Clément Lenglet’s header after taking advantage of Jordi Alba’s free kick. However, his header still hit the left post of the Kiev goal which was escorted by George Buschan.

The Kiev defense encounter made it difficult for Barcelona to find space to shoot.

Towards the end of the first half, Barcelona still couldn’t create a single shot on target. Meanwhile, Kiev aggressively launched a counterattack.

However, no goals were scored before the end of the first half.

After the break, Kiev had their chance in the 58th minute when Oleksandr Karavaev shot at home after shooting the Barcelona defender’s clearance, but the ball was right next to Marc Andre Ter Stegen’s goal.

Barcelona got a penalty in the 64th minute after Ansu Fati was knocked down by a Kiev defender. However, the referee overturned his decision after reviewing the incident via the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

The Blaugrana finally scored in the 70th minute when Mingueza’s cross from the right sent the ball to Ansu Fati in the middle of the box.

The Spain striker then kicked the ball into the visitors’ goal.

Armed with a goal, Barcelona are getting more and more excited and continue to put pressure on their opponents.

In the 77th minute, Ousmane Dembele stabbed from the right and kicked the ball which was easily stopped by Kiev goalkeeper Goergio Buschan.

Kiev had a chance thanks to a Viktor Tsygankov goal in the 82nd minute, but Ter Stegen still managed to keep the net from giving way.

Dynamo had another chance in the 89th minute thanks to Zabarnyi’s volley after receiving a cross. However, the ball is still wide.

Barcelona were able to maintain their 1-0 advantage until the long whistle and were entitled to win all three points. (Ant / OL-1)
