Hakim Ziyech’s lone goal helped Chelsea win 1-0 on their trip to Malmö in the Champions League Group H match at Eleda Stadium in Malmö, Sweden on Wednesday (3/11) early morning WIB.
Thanks to this result, Chelsea are so far in second place in Group H with 9 points, while Malmö is still at the bottom of the table with 0 points.
Despite playing as a guest, Chelsea looked dominant from the start, but they struggled to penetrate Malmö’s tight defense.

In the 13th minute, Chelsea got the first chance. Starting from Marcos Alonso’s center on the left side in the penalty area, the ball was received by Cesar Azpilicueta before unleashing a left-footed shot down to the right of Malmö goalkeeper Johan Dahlin.
However, Dahlin was always able to repel the kick and only produced one corner for Chelsea.
Chelsea got another chance in the 28th minute. Taking advantage of Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s deep pass, Kai Havertz dribbled into Malmö’s penalty area and then unleashed a left-footed shot that Dahlin was able to stop again.
The remaining minutes of the first half were not used by both teams to score goals. The 0-0 score lasted until the end of the first half.
After the break, Chelsea tried to increase the intensity of their attacks. Meanwhile, Malmö closed the defense and was forced to rely on a counterattack to threaten the visitors.
The Blues finally managed to break the deadlock in the 56th minute thanks to Ziyech’s shot from inside the penalty area after using Callum Hudson-Odoi’s pass. Chelsea leads 1-0.
In the 78th minute, Havertz unleashed a shot that forced Dahlin to stop. The rebound was then hit by Ross Barkley, but he still didn’t enter the goal.
In the remaining time, Malmö tried to equalize. However, pressure from Chelsea made it difficult to equalize the home side.
