NUNO Esprito Santo has been officially sacked by Tottenham Hotspur following the club’s poor form this season. Most recently, Spurs have lost three unanswered goals to Manchester United in their own seat. The result leaves Tottenham in 8th place with 15 points.
“The club announced today that Nuno Espírito Santo and his coaching staff Ian Cathro, Rui Barbosa and Antonio Dias have been dismissed from their posts,” read a statement from Tottenham.
Sporting director Fabio Paratici understands that Nuno and his coaching staff want to be successful with the Lilywhites. But decisions must be made for the good of the club.
“Nuno is a true gentleman and will always be welcome here. We want to thank him and his coaching staff and wish them all the best for their future. ”

Italian transfer expert and journalist Fabrizio Romano said club president Daniel Levy was furious at Spurs’ poor result against Manchester United last week.
“Tottenham are now pushing to convince Antonio Conte as new manager to replace Nuno,” he wrote on Instagram.
Previously, Tottenham wanted to join Conte’s services in the summer of 2021. However, the Italian coach refused, arguing he was unsure of the project proposed by Tottenham.
Even so, Tottenham appear to have to work hard to bring Conte. Because rival club Manchester United are also eyeing Conte. (OL-7)
