Ibrahimovic accuses Mbappe of being in the comfort zone

ZLATAN Ibrahimovic used a Halloween theme to criticize French striker Kylian Mbappe that he had to “taste blood” if he really wanted to become a football legend.

Mbappe won the World Cup title and now plays alongside Nyemar and Lionel Messi at Paris Saint-Germain.

However, Ibrahimovic, who still plays at 40, accused the 22-year-old of being stuck in his comfort zone at PSG.

“I like Mbappe but what he does is not enough. He is too comfortable and stuck in a safe zone,” Ibrahimovic said in an interview with French television station Téléfoot on Sunday 10/31.

“He has to walk on fire if he wants to get better,” continued the striker, who played for PSG between 2012 and 2016.

“Imagine how strong he would be if he tasted blood. Surround yourself with those who always say you are not good enough. It will keep you improving,” Ibrahimovic said.

Mbappe has scored 5 goals in Ligue 1 this season.

However, he had a tough summer after missing the penalty kick which saw France crumble in the last 16 of Euro 2020 and missed a move to Real Madrid after his dream was turned down by PSG. (AFP / OL-1)
