English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering bringing in Italian coach Antonio Conte again. Quoted by football-italy on Sunday 10/31, the news emerged after Tottenham Hotspur coach Nuno Espirito Santo had a negative result losing to Manchester United 0-3 in London.
It is believed that this will prompt Tottenham Hotspur’s board to reconsider the attempt to bring in Antonio Conte after trying it last summer. Last summer, Tottenham finally chose to sign Nuno Espirito Santo after the Lilywhites’ offer was rejected by Antonio Conte.
Antonio Conte chose to reject an offer from Tottenham Hotspur because the London club’s project did not interest him. The Italian coach claimed the reason he turned down the offer was not for economic reasons.
Antonio Conte had previously been a Premier League coach when he led Chelsea from 2016 to 2018 and managed to win a league title and an FA Cup. His Premier League experience, of course, is an attraction for Tottenham Hotspur to bring in former Juventus and Inter Milan coaches so they can move up to the league and the Conference League.
Currently, Tottenham Hotspur sit 8th in the Premier League table with 15 points from 10 games, with details of five wins and five losses. Additionally, Tottenham Hotspur are set to face Vitesse Arnhem in the Group G fourth game of the Conference League. Tottenham are currently third in Group G with four points from three matches. (OL-8)
