Against PSS Sleman, Borneo FC focus on players’ mental recovery

UNTIL week 9 of BRI Liga 1 2021/2022, Borneo FC’s performance has not been stable, swallowing two losses in the last three matches played by Pesut Etam.

The arrival of Risto Vidakovic as a new tactician has not shown maximum progress for Borneo. Of the last three matches that have taken place, Sultan Samma and his colleagues have only been able to win once.

The match continued into week ten to prove Risto in training Pesut Etam’s troops. The evaluation in the previous match became an important asset against PSS Sleman.

“We have evaluated and of course we want to achieve maximum results in the next game,” Risto added.

For Risto, his team has the ability to go up. However, on the other hand, mental issues are the main concern, due to the loss they suffered in the last game against Bhayangkara FC.

“We were ahead but then we lost. In addition to the strategy, we are again trying to improve the mentality of the players,” he added.

When asked about the adaptation, Risto admitted that there was no problem. Missing three games with minimal breaks, he still has to rack his brains.

“I arrived after the league run. It was a tough situation. However, I continued to study the depth of the team to find the best performance,” concluded Risto. (New Indonesian League / OL-11)
