Leicester calls victory over Brighton a dead price

Leicester City full-back Ricardo Pereira has said his side are now aiming for a win when they face Brighton in the Premier League Cup round of 16 on Wednesday night to advance to the quarter-finals. “We had the opportunity to play the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup with our fans. It was a great game of course,” said Ricardo Pereira, quoted on the club’s official website, Wednesday (27/10) .

According to Ricardo Pereira, Brighton are a very good team and have shown that by posting good results in the Premier League. He believes the game against Brighton will be difficult, but he is not worried as Leicester will play at home

“It’s against a very good team. They started very well in the Premier League and of course it will be difficult, but we are playing at home.”

The Portuguese player continued to say his side can now learn from last weekend’s game when Leicester City fell behind Brentford in the first half of the Premier League event. Pereira thinks it’s hard to turn the tide when they lose, but they can’t make that mistake again when they face Brighton in the League Cup.

“We started well (the previous game), but after 20 minutes we reduced the performance. It was difficult halfway through,” said Pereira.

“It was difficult to come back to the game. It was a weird game, in some decisions, but it’s in the past and we can’t make the same mistakes.”

Leicester City face Brighton & Hove Albion in the round of 16 of the English League Cup at King Power Stadium in Leicester on Wednesday evening local time. In the previous round, Leicester City managed to beat Championship division representatives Milwall with a 2-0 score thanks to goals scored by Ademola Lookman and Kelechi Iheanacho. (OL-8)
